Music & Creativity: Another Go!

I enjoy sharing music with people, especially other writers. I feel music is a good aide when trying to write, whether the words are pouring through you or dammed in your mind.

Previously, I’ve shared two posts similar to this. Today, I want to share ten new songs with you I keep in my playlist. As usual, please share your favorites in the comment section!

1.”Everlasting Love” by Carl Carlton

2. “I’m Every Woman” by Chaka Khan

3. “I Love You” by Andre Rieu

4. “Don’t Know Why” by Norah Jones

5. “Somebody to Love” by Queen

6. “Desire” by Adrian Johnston

7. “Snow Flower’s Tears” by Rachel Portman

8. “Latch” (Acoustic Version) by Sam Smith

9. “Iris” by Goo Goo Dolls

10. “Sway” by Michael Buble

  1. I go through phases of what particular music I listen to when writing.
I have been on a Stones kick for a while, although this morning I have the album Regatta de Blanc by the Police playing.
    Message in a Bottle anyone?

I wrote a satire set in Nice and Paris and almost the entire time while I wrote, the first music I put on every morning was The Picnic Suite, by Claude Bolling.
    I still adore it.

Of course, it’s on You Tube, but I have the LP – a bit scratchy and a bit wonky – and I listened to it on the record player. It became a ritual!
    Yeah, nuts, I know.
