Cover Reveal for In Her Dreams!

1013 In Her Dreams_1400I might suffer from an apoplexy if all this excitement continues! Why? I have another cover to unveil. This cover is for my novella In Her Dreams, which will be released from Harlequin Australia’s imprint Escape Publishing on October 1, 2013.

The cover is absolutely divine! It signifies the whimsy and lightness of In Her Dreams. Evangeline Vernon is lost in the depths of her dreams, escaping the crushing disappointments of her reality. Even with her eyes closed in this cover, one can see she is a headstrong, ornery woman. She refuses to deal with foolishness and pettiness. One can just imagine her laying on the ornate chaise at the bottom of the cover, dreaming up her fantasies.

The essence  of the story I set out to tell is just so beautifully captured. When I first wrote this novella back in November of 2012, I never imagined that several months later it would be published by Harlequin Australia’s blossoming imprint Escape Publishing. But here it is! And here is the blurb for In Her Dreams:

A flirty, fun, mix-and-match romance about two sisters who are betrothed to the wrong men…

Evangeline Vernon is a woman on the verge of spinsterhood — until the prim and proper Duke of Manchester steps in. Her family is pleased with the match, but the duke is not the passionate man Evangeline craves. Her heart belongs to an alluring, golden-haired gentleman, perfect in every way…except one: he doesn’t exist.

Angela Vernon is everything a proper, well-brought-up woman should be. She knows her place and understands society’s expectations — which include not being jealous of her sister and not coveting her sister’s suitor. But how can she bear the heartache of watching the only man she loves marry not only her sister, but a woman who doesn’t see past his exterior to the man he is beneath?

  1. It is very pretty. Not my type of genre, but sure to appeal to those who like romance.
Always nice to see one’s book dressed and ready to ‘step out’ is it not? 🙂

    1. Thank you! Maybe you’ll end up enjoying the romance genre after reading one of my eBooks 🙂

And, yes, I always enjoy looking at the cover reveals of other authors. There is just something about seeing the unveiling of someone’s story. It is like the icing on the cake.

    2. There are a few Danielle Steele and similar books on our shelves and although I have read one or two – for research reasons- they never held my interest. Sorry. Shrug.
I write as well, so I know how keen we are to get others to read our work. Never easy is it? But probably easier for you!
I have never enjoyed JK and I doubt that she minds!
Yet I adore Terry Pratchett and he’s probably not aware either.

Sincerest wishes for resounding success., Katherine.
I’m sure the book will be lapped up.

    3. Thank you! There are several romance authors whose work have bored me to sleep. (Not naming names). Then there are others I absolutely adore! I suppose it all comes down to taste, like wine.

Even if romance isn’t your interest, thank you for commenting. I always love to hear from others 🙂

Might I ask, what is it you write?

    4. Comic Fantasy.
My first novel is featured on my blog. Almost Dead in Suburbia.
      You cant miss the cat!
I am fortunately soon to have my second novel published too. And like you the butterflies are already beginning.
