The Last of My Magazine Publishing Days, But There Are Books To Be Published In The Future!

A little over a year ago I embarked on a grand adventure. My writing journey. I started out small with newspaper publications. Within six weeks, I’d published six articles. My confidence was buoyed within those short weeks. I am forever thankful for the editors that gave me a chance to break out of my shell.

Shortly thereafter, I turned away from my quick run with newspapers. Publications in magazines and ezines became my aim. This little adventure took longer than a scant six weeks. This was something that lasted for a few months. My first order of business was to open up this website/blog. For those of you who followed my website since its infancy, thank you for your support. It is appreciated and noticed! For those that eventually came along to join the ride, I’m grateful you jumped aboard!

My stint with magazines was extremely fruitful. I published over twenty short stories and poems. A great start to a great resume. Today, I am announcing my final two magazine publications:

  • The poems “Confidants” and “The Wallflower” were published in the Summer 2013 issue of From the Depths. The magazine’s layout is gorgeous, the editing is superb, and I am proud to have my work showcased with other terrific writers.
  • The poem “Force” was published in the Winter/Spring 2013 issue of the Tipton Poetry Journal. A beautiful print issue, I am beyond excited to have my poem in this magazine. Although small and charming, the Tipton Poetry Journal‘s editors often nominate for the prestigious Pushcart Prize.

Now that I am reaching beyond magazines, I can say with the utmost confidence that I am ecstatic to have these be my last two poetry publications. Both magazines are beautiful in their own right. I am proud to end my magazine run with these two. Well, for now. In the future I might publish in magazines just for the sheer fun of it.

At this point in time, I am moving forward into the wonderful world of romance publishers. I’ve two contracted novellas. The first is titled In Her Dreams, and will be published by Harlequin Australia’s imprint Escape Publishing. The second is titled Love Amidst the Egyptian Sands and will be released by Red Sage Publishing, INC. From the titles, it can be gleaned that these are romances. Historical romances. I am proud of these works, and I stand by them. And keep an eye out for these novellas in the coming months…

In closing, here’s to another phase in my writing journey! Here’s to further success! Here’s to all my followers, readers, and commenters! Without you all, I wouldn’t be a writer. Without you all, I wouldn’t have anyone to share my work with. Here’s to my editors and publishers! Here’s to my family and friends! Here’s to everyone, no matter how big or small your effect! And, lastly, here’s to the future!
